HISTORY

Simões Correia Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, R.L. was founded in 1997 when José Manuel Simões Correia, who had been practicing individually since 1964, partnered up with two other partners: Paulo Simões Correia and Rita Simões Correia.

In 1999 António José Simões Correia and later, in 2003, Ricardo Simões Correia both became capital partners.

Since its inception SCA has maintained a strong connection to Labour Law, both individual and collective, and provides legal counselling to the human resources departments of Firms, Business Groups and Employment Associations of various sectors of the economy and also guarantees its legal support in Labour Courts and the competent authorities of Public Administration.

In representation of its clients SCA accompanies various collective labour contracts and the respective negotiation processes.

Whilst maintaining its close connection to Labour Law, SCA started widening its areas of performance and early on created new internal structures in the areas of Company and Commercial Law, Insurance Law, Publicity Law, Real Estate Law, Counter-Mandate Law and Rental Law, counselling and representing their clients in contractual negotiations and judicial contentions, and currently has accumulated strong experience in these areas too.
